Shannon founded Pee Dee Avionics in 2014, after deciding to move back closer to home with his family.  Prior to founding PDA, Shannon worked 11 years as the shop manager for another reputable avionics repair station where he was able to gain the valuable avionics experience needed to operate an FAA repair station.  He is a graduate of the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program at North American Institute of Aviation.  Shannon currently holds an FAA Airframe, Powerplant,  & Inspection Authorization.  In addition to his FAA maintenance certificates, he also holds an FCC Radio license and is an Instrument Rated Private Pilot.   25+ years of avionics installation and repair experience, he is grateful to have had the opportunity to work on many unique aircraft and meet so many of the great aviators in the aviation community.
